LUME Named a TIME Best Invention of 2026

We’re excited to share that TIME has named LUME one of its Best Inventions of 2026. For Syncere, a company less than a year old, it is an extraordinary honor.

For more than 25 years, TIME’s Best Inventions list has recognized ideas and products changing how people live. This year’s honorees span fields from artificial intelligence to consumer technology, including Apple's iPhone Duo and Anthropic's Claude. To see LUME among them means a great deal to our team.

In home robotics, much of the conversation still centers on what a robot should look like. We began with a different question: what would people actually want to live with? LUME is a lamp designed to belong in the home, with the intelligence to help take care of everyday chores. When the work is done, it returns to being a beautiful and useful part of the room.

We believe that combination marks a new direction for household technology. LUME is more than another device added to the home. It offers a different relationship with robotics, one in which capable technology fits into daily life and gives people more of their time back.

This recognition belongs to the small team that brought LUME from an ambitious idea to something people can experience. In less than a year, Syncere has introduced a new vision for home robotics and seen it recognized by TIME. We’re proud of what we’ve built, grateful for the honor, and even more excited about what comes next. 2027 will be a big year for LUME.
