At Work with Rebecca Minkoff

Rebecca Minkoff has spent more than two decades shaping the way New York women dress. The Morning After Bag became an icon, and the label that followed grew into a global business spanning fashion and accessories. Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Jessica Alba have all worn or carried her designs. Beyond her own brand, Minkoff founded the Female Founder Collective to champion women building businesses.

Inside her New York studio, Syncere’s collaboration put Lume to work. Its bright, steady light made fabric swatches easier to examine, bringing their colors and textures into focus. For Zoom meetings, it lit Minkoff as thoughtfully as it lit the garments. And when the work moved away from the desk, Lume moved with it.

It folded samples, handed over bags, and helped clean up after a busy day in the office. Those capabilities gave the team help with the small, repeated tasks that fill a working studio, leaving more attention for the creative decisions behind each collection.

Lume’s presence mattered even when it was still. Its sculptural form looked at home among the clothes, samples, and worktables, beautiful enough to keep in view throughout the day. In Minkoff’s studio, it brought together the qualities that make it distinctive: a considered piece of design, a dependable source of light, and an extra hand when the work called for one.
