In Micaela Erlanger’s Studio

Some of fashion’s most memorable looks begin in Micaela Erlanger’s studio. The celebrity stylist has dressed Lupita Nyong’o, Meryl Streep, Michelle Dockery, and Diane Kruger, and worked with houses including Oscar de la Renta and Monse. Her eye has helped shape the way these women are seen at premieres, awards ceremonies, and on the red carpet.

Before a look reaches that stage, every piece is considered up close. A dress may be beautiful on a hanger but need a different light to show its color, texture, or finish. Accessories are brought in, garments move through fittings, and choices are refined until the whole look feels right for the person wearing it.

Syncere’s collaboration brought Lume into that process. Its bright, steady light helped illuminate looks as Erlanger and her team examined them. Its intelligent features helped with the flow of garments, folding pieces and lending a hand as the studio moved from one fitting to the next.

Lume also belonged in a space filled with beautiful objects. Its sculptural form could stand among the clothes and accessories without feeling like equipment brought in for the day. For a stylist whose work depends on seeing both the smallest detail and the full picture, Lume offered useful light, practical help, and a presence worthy of the room.
